Are my card photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Photos, cards and batches are stored on your iPhone and never sent to us.
Cards are read using Apple’s on-device text recognition.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no login, and scanning, centering, grade estimates, batches and
card identification are all free.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple manages all
billing — we can’t cancel or refund on your behalf.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open Centrd, go to Settings → Restore purchases, and sign in with the
same Apple Account you bought it on.
Is a grade estimate a real grade?
No. Centrd measures centering only. Grading companies also assess
corners, edges and surface, none of which this app examines. The estimates
show what a card’s centering alone would qualify for under each company’s
published standards.

Centrd is built and operated by Justin Logan, an independent developer based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It is deliberately short, because Centrd collects very little.
Your card photos, your cards and your batches stay on your phone. They are never uploaded to our servers. We do not ask you to create an account, and we cannot identify you.
None of this is transmitted to us. It is removed when you delete the app.
Card search text. When you look up a card’s price, the text read from the card — typically a name and a collector number, such as “Charizard 4/102” — is sent to our server, which forwards it to our pricing provider, PokemonPriceTracker, and returns the result. Your photo is never sent. The card is read on your device using Apple’s on-device text recognition.
Anonymous usage events. If you leave usage data sharing on, Centrd records which features are used — for example that a card was scanned, that a crop succeeded, or that a paywall was shown. These are counts of actions, not content. They contain no photos, no card names, no prices, no collection data and nothing that identifies you or your device to us. This is processed by PostHog. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data.
Purchase information. If you subscribe or make a contribution, the transaction is handled by Apple and validated through RevenueCat. We receive confirmation that a purchase is active. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account.
Camera — to photograph your cards. Used only while you are scanning.
Photo library — only when you choose to upload an existing photo. Centrd receives the images you pick and nothing else.

Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and there is nothing personal to sell.
Centrd is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted in the app.
